Made from a 300mm by 300mm B&Q mirror tile. A mirror is not an easy thing to photograph as it wants to show you everything around it so this is the best picture i have at the moment. This project although simple has opened up a whole series of ideas. The obvious marketability for the above mirror (Subject to settlement of copyright) is very obvious and how easily it would role out into different programs / bands / projects / hobbies etc. However I would like to see this technique used in a bathroom with flower lineart that is then hand coloured (Much like an animation cell used to be in the old days) the potential to make a colour freeze in mirror form in the tiles around the edge would if done well grace the finest bathrooms. Once again the same idea would role out into a number of art choices Sea life / Penguins (Comedy or otherwise) / Waterfalls / even a complete peripheral picture making a lagoon feel. Using a bit of pythagoras to adjust for the average distance of the eyes from the scalp and the knowledge that light travels in a straight line a self measuring scale could be made where the user reads off their height whilst stood at a set distance from the mirror.
Warning messages (Now Wash You Hands Please) - Adverts - Washroom (Instructions on using smart taps - Directions to hand driers.) Manufacture This mirror was placed face down and cut on the 100EX to remove the silver backing. The back was then sprayed black to bring the picture our. Any colour could have been sprayed but black was chosen to enhance the lineart. Lineart Downloaded from the DeviantArt Website - Artist - Vanbriesen.
